Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23rd November 1992, is an American musician, singer, and actress. Noted for her distinctive raspy voice, her music is a blend of elements of a variety of genres and styles, including pop, country pop hip hop, experimental and rock. With 13 songs, Cyrus holds the record for the most US Billboard 200 top five albums of the 21st century performed by women artists. Cyrus's private life, public performance and image often provoked controversy and have received extensive media coverage. Cyrus, a daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, emerged as a teenager idol playing the lead character in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana (2006-2011). Hannah Montana's number one and third-five top-five album, as well as the US Billboard Hot 100 Top-ten single "He Could be the One." Cyrus's discography also includes the US top albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008), and Bangerz (2013) The top five releases include Can't Get Tamed (2010) and Younger Now (2017), Plastic Hearts (2020) and the free album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz (2015). Cyrus is a vocal advocate for animal rights. She also made the switch to a vegan diet in 2014; she founded the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014 which is focused on the issue of youth homelessness as well as the LGBT community.
