Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

 Abigail Marie Clancy is an English catwalk, lingerie and television model. In 2006, she finished second in Britain's Next Top Model cycle 2. She also won series 11 and 12 of Strictly Come Dancing 2013. Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born on July 7, 1965, in Liverpool. Clancy is the fourth of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was raised in Woolton, a suburb of Liverpool, and attended St Mary's Primary School and St Julie's Catholic High School. Clancy formed the girls' group Genie Queen, which was managed by Andy McCluskey (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark). Clancy was selected as one of the thirteen finalists of Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model in summer 2006. He competed for a modelling contract for 10 weeks. Clancy made it to the runway show's final stage with another contestant Lianna Fowler, and was the runnerup. Clancy has appeared as a model in a variety of newspapers and magazines following his appearance on Britain's Next Top Model. In May 2007, Clancy was featured on the cover of Arena magazine, and modelled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was chosen to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine's swimsuit edition 2010. Clancy was praised for her sporting connection and was photographed wearing only bodypaint to the publication. Yu Tsai captured the image. Clancy was featured in a campaign for Umbro sportswear, modelling an England shirt. She was also photographed with other footballer's wives and girlfriends from countries who have won the World Cup. Clancy was a model for the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July of 2013, she was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. The campaign featured a fashion editorial by Absynth Photographic and a fashion movie produced by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also a model for the cover of August 2011 of UK Esquire shot by photographer Solve Sundsbo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was included in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy made her debut on the cover British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue as well as British Elle's March issue. In October of 2019, Abbey Clancy and her daughter Sophia Crouch collaborated with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, for the Launch of their AW'19 collection. The collection was began to be launched in the UAE in January 2020.
